Concerts, remixes and tour-pics
A lot of things have happened in Marybell Katastrophy-land lately.
Germany
The band had a great tour in Germany last week where they visited Hamburg & Berlin along with The Malpactice. Johannes, leadsinger and wordsmith in The Malpractice, sent home a tour diary for the danish music magazine Gaffa. In between the food and computer game tips, rants about traffic in big cities and noise restrictions you also get to hear about the concerts: links to part 1, 2 & 3 (in danish).
You can find pictures from the concert in Berlin by clicking the image.

Tectonics Repercussions
The Malpractice & Marybell Katastrophy are like two youngsters tongue-kissing, it's impossible to tell or tear them appart. Marie Højlund and Q. are playing with 'Malleren' and Johannes sometimes joins Marybell onstage as well. And do you remember the post about the Marybell remix of The Malpractice song "Human Condition"? Now it has been released digitally along with remixes from among others Jenny Wilson, Bredvig and... wow can this get more intertwined? - the other half of Marybell Katastrophy, Jakob Schweppenhäuser and Emil Thomsen, also known as the experimental electronical duo Schweppenhäuser/Thomsen (shortened SCHWTH).
Listen to all the remixes here.
Free concert in Aalborg
Aalborg is having a festival in July and has invited Marybell to join the fun. It happens outdoors at Gammel Torv, June 10th at 8 PM sharp! The best part is that it's a free concert. So pack the picnic basket and enjoy a summernight out. Join and share the Facebook event right here.
Concerts in the fall
For all those of you who can't make to Aalborg in July here is some good news. 10 danish shows in November just in time to show of the new material, it's gonna be so great. Read more and check if your town is on the to-do list right here.
That's all I can think of for now - have a lovely weekend

Germany Tour Countdown
Only 4 days to go before the Marybell Katastrophy & The Malpractice Germany tour.
The car has been loaded with music equipment, sunglasses, a longing for wiener schnitzels and petanque for those autobahn-breaks. The guys and girl are really looking forward to visiting Hamburg and Berlin and hope to see you all there.
Good Old Germany – We’re Back

*Notice: this is no April Fool joke... or maybe... nope it's for real*
Lise here with a tour update:
Marybell Katastrophy and The Malpractice are once again joining forces, and this time they are headed for Germany.
This is where the wild things go:
The mini-tour celebrates that The Malpractice's debutalbum Tectonics is being released in Germany. And also that Marybell Katastrophy have used 2010 to compose new fantastic songs for an album that are going to come out late 2011. You can already listen to the 3 new songs 'Difference', 'Heavy Industry' & 'Knight Song' via the sidebar player.
And for those of you who don't know The Malpractice - where drummer Q. and leadsinger Marie also are a part of the lineup - it is Johannes Gammelby known from such "supa-dupa dope bands like the grungy I Am Bones and the hate-rock-y Beta Satan. As awesome mastermind-with-friends-outfit, demanding your attention as The Malpractice, hell is being raised!" The Malpractice takes grunge and aggressive rock as a point of departure, though they also adds pophooks and noisy synthesizers in a dirty, violent, existentialist universe. Hit singles includes "Oh, The Irony" and "Boss Stallion".
Together they aim to celebrate the good melody and create even better times.

New in – New out
Hello
I'm new to the family. My name is Lise, Marybell Katastrophy aficionada and internet wizzard in the making. My job is to give Marybell.dk an interactive facelift as well as occasionally update you guys with news from Katastrophy-ville.
Marybell Katastrophy & The Malpractice send their best to all of you and say thanks for an awesome Denmark tour. For those of you who couldn't make it - as well as for the nostalgics - enjoy the following video from the live performance of "Dl 10" from The More at Voxhall, Aarhus.

Tjit Tjat has commented on the joined venture of MaryMalleren – aka. how Marie and Q. are involved in both Marybell katastrophy and The Malpractice. Read the review here (in danish).
As for the new and exciting things happening behind the scenes at Marybell.dk - we'll get back to that another time.
Free concert coming up
Saturday night at 8 we will play a free concert with our videosynth show in Ridehuset, Aarhus - for free. It´s a part of an art project called Nybyggerne.
Here is a little clip from our last show in Copenhagen, with the videosynth playing in the last part of the song Heavy Industry - just so you know what we are up to
Heavy Industry / Marybell Katastrophy from marybell katastrophy on Vimeo.
The funny thing about it, is that it is almost the same concept as Love Alley (where we are making a sound-vulcano outside aarhus), artists getting a plot to build something on as a part of a community - but despite the obvious similarities the two are as well opposites (of cause I don´t know yet as Nybyggerne didn´t take place yet). Nybyggerne I predict is the light feel-good version: taking place in a nice warm art institution inside Aarhus, only lasting a weekend and well organized from the top. I know this sounds very critical, but it´s not! it´s just facts that makes me love Love Alley even more - and hate it, in it´s own cold, unorganized organism growing on it´s own as a weed without a center on a field outside the city..and maybe I´ll learn to love Nybyggerne as well.

Tired and happy
Thank you to everybody showing up for the shows this weekend - it was so exiting and we enjoyed every minute of it!
Here is some words about the show fra Gaffa and we will be back with pictures and video to give you a real impression...
amazing evening
Just wanted to thank you all for a great great evening the other night in Pumpehuset Cph! We were so moved by your reaction, especially to the new songs, because it's so exiting for us, but feels so natural at the same time...as if the songs allways existed. And thank you to Casper for singing with us, and off cause to Slaraffenklang for a good show - with a Safri Duo twist!??? anybody found or has some pictures from the show?
The shop is not working properly in Internet Explorer, but others browsers should work...
>Sorry Germany, thank you explosions!
>One sad fact we have to face: Our german shows are postponed once again, till after summer. There is many reasons for this, that I don´t want to bore you with. But I have to say I really miss good old germany! It´s frustrating when logistics obstruct music.
But the other day helped a little bit on the frustrations: Emil and I played two songs for the opening of an art exhibition in Viborg . The exhibition is centered around a project we are a part of called Love Alley arranged by Marianne Jørgensen; a wonderful artist who once wrapped a tank in pink knitting. It´s a bit hard to explain the concept of Love Alley, but our part is a vulcano with sound. In the movieclip you can see some explosions she made in the beginning of the project outside her house... what a setting -
THANK YOU EXPLOSIONS!
